Make A Difference!

 

Hi  I am Lori Heller

 

I am training for  LA Marathon  for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. .  I am determined to train and go the distance to the finish line in February 16,2009

 

It all started a year ago to get in shape, I have returned for a 3^rd season Seeing that it was a charity event for The Leukemia and Lymphoma society,  I was  hooked!

.

I decided to join the team because I have both had close family members and friends who have had cancer or are currently fighting it. Running  with Team In Training is my way of giving support to our loved ones and helping to make a contribution towards finding a cure!

 

I am running for our Honored Teammate Taylor Hook, who was diagnosed at her 9 month check up with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, It is extremely rare for a child of Taylors age to have lymphoma, As of July 2008, she is currently in remission . She sees her doctor monthly to make sure her cancer does not relapse .

 

As a team we each have a set goal to raise $2,200 and we need your generous donations to help make this happen. Any donation, no matter how small is a great step towards finding a cure. Seventy-five cents of every dollar donated goes to supporting cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services.

I am a single mom, I have 3 grown kids. Love life.  Love meeting new people. Love the summer, cant wait til summer comes around again.  I am training for a 5k run in Huntington Beach and will start training for half marathons. I am a nurse case manager for a workmans comp insurance company. I also work part time for a Hospice company helping families through the most stressful time in which a family member is actively dying.
